Prince George to Be a Ring Bearer, Princess Charlotte a Bridesmaid at Pippa Middleton’s Wedding
Pippa Middleton is getting married this weekend, and like all shrewdish brides/royal sisters, she’s planned for her wedding to be as fabulous as possible. How will she be pulling this off, you may ask? By putting her adorable niece and nephew front and center.
George, 3, and Charlotte, 2, will join their aunt as she marries former race car driver and businessman James Matthews. Interestingly, Matthews himself is the heir to a Scottish title. His father, David Matthews, is otherwise known as the Laird of Glen Affric. This also means that, eventually, Pippa will be known as Lady of Glen Affric. The whole Middleton fam is going royal, guys.
The soon-to-be Matthews became engaged in July of 2016, making their engagement just shy of two years long. The two dated sporadically starting in 2012.
The proposal has been described as very romantic and “completely and totally [surprising]” Pippa despite the fact Matthews asked her father’s permission beforehand.
“James has always been on the scene,” a source told E! News in January. “He is super charismatic and charming, good looking and always held a torch for Pippa. They have always had insane chemistry.”
In addition to being the younger sister of Kate Middleton, Pippa is a columnist, a style icon, a dedicated cyclist, and a social advocate.
Congratulations to the soon-to-be family on a very bright future!
