Gwen Stefani, Blake Shelton Proposal Story Made Up By HollywoodLife
Gwen Stefani does not want Blake Shelton to propose so she can use her down time from “The Voice” to plan their wedding, despite a made-up report from HollywoodLife. The site, which has previously been busted for fabricating inaccurate split stories about the couple, now claims Stefani is hoping to get a proposal from her partner “as soon as possible.”
A so-called “source” tells the outlet, “Gwen wants to work on music and be a mom during her break from ‘The Voice,’” but “one of her main goals is to prepare a wedding.” The webloid’s supposed insider goes on to allege that Stefani, who wants to be engaged “soon,” wants to take some of her free time from the show to focus on planning her dream wedding. “She just needs Blake to pull the trigger and ask for her hand in marriage,” adds the tipster.
Of course, Gossip Cop has called out the website on a number of occasions for publishing bogus stories about Stefani and Shelton, so we were understandably doubtful about this latest report. Regardless, we investigated into HollywoodLies’ newest claim, and a rep for Stefani assures us the entire article, from its “exclusive” quotes to its made-up sources, is “untrue.” The singer does not want Shelton to propose as soon as possible, nor does she want to use her down time from “The Voice” to plan their wedding. It’s all lies.
Naturally, the unreliable webloid is known for its lack of fact-checking, jumping from one bogus tale to another. In April, Gossip Cop corrected the site for falsely alleging Stefani and Shelton had split. And shortly before phony story, we debunked the outlet for wrongly claiming Stefani had turned down Shelton’s marriage proposal. Neither report was true, and the same goes for this latest one. If Gossip Cop has proven anything over the years, it’s that HollywoodLife cannot be trusted.
